Our People Who we Community Bridge, Inc. is a collaborative,
multi-disciplinary partnership of researchers, parents, and practitioners in
the local community who are united by and committed to the goal of supporting
the optimal development of children, youth, and families. We are dedicated to bridging the gap between
the “ivory tower” and the front lines:
We believe that families and practitioners who are on the front lines
of building and sustaining healthy families and communities should have full
access to the best research, tools, and information available. At the same time, we believe that the
exchange between the ivory tower and the front lines should be
bi-directional: Those on the front lines should both benefit from
research-based services and practices, and should shape the development of
the research, information, and tools that are available to them. We are committed to providing the highest
quality programs, services, tools, and information available in the areas of
child, youth, family, and community development; educational support; and
parent education and training. Collectively, our Executive Board,
Advisory Board, and Collaborating Researchers and Practitioners have an
extensive history of working hand in hand with parents, children, and
families from all walks of life, and in particular, those from ethnic
minority backgrounds and disadvantaged communities, to bring about positive
child, youth, and family development and community empowerment. Advisory
